I consider the Shimmer EP to be one of the most under rated weapons to ever come out of the Ovum camp. I first heard it in Philadelphia during a Timo Mass set a month or so before its release. I was lucky enough to be standing next to a guy that was able to ID it for me!

Shimmer (Original Mix) is absolutely devastating tech-house monster. Perfect track for that moment in your set where you switch out of soft "opening the night" mode into "alright time to get these people moving" mode. It has a very deep groaning bassline and the overall arrangement of the percussion is so clicky and catchy. I can honestly say that I have not heard anything arranged in a similar manner since. The Wink remix is also excellent, as it leaves most of the original intact. If you're into Ovum's sound at all, make sure this is on your wishlist.
